Please stop by the Center for Grieving Children in Maitland on Monday, July 14th between 4:00pm and 7:00pm and “give the gift of life!” If interested, you will also have the opportunity to register with the National Bone Marrow Program.

The 16th Annual Mascot GamesReady…Get Set….Go!!! The infamous mascots are tumbling into town again, and you won’t want to miss this year’s annual Celebrity Mascot Games! Over the course of three days, more than thirty of the nation’s top professional and collegiate mascots will battle their way through wacky, zany games at the Amway Arena and Stetson University. This perfect family event benefits New Hope for Kids’ Grief and Wish programs and is hosted by New Hope for Kids’ partner for the event, the Central Florida Sports Commission.This year we’re taking the Games to a new level, and you won’t want to miss it! So come join us as we take part in the silly antics these big-hearted mascots bring to Central Florida each year!

Over the years, many of the families in our grief and wish programs have been affected by leukemia and lymphoma. The Light The Night Walk is a beautiful and very special evening event. Walkers will carry illuminated balloons around Lake Eola to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Funds raised will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual walk with no fitness requirements.
This year’s Light The Night walk will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 around beautiful Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando.
